
Development Team
The Multidisciplinary Development Team, EDM, is a team of people who attend different areas of child development in a transversal way, in addition to those with Special Educational Needs and High Abilities.
Values training
All receive an initial formation proper to our center, to know and act in accordance with the philosophy, mission, principles and values. The team is made up of different specialists such as speech therapists, psychologists, pedagogues, teachers and nutritionists.
The Multidisciplinary Development Team is in charge of:
- Evaluate and observe in the same way as the Guides, but can also diagnose if necessary and have counseling meetings with parents, always in close collaboration with the Guide tutor.
- Provide specific service to students who have some difficulty in their language development, functional, cognitive, learning, psychomotor, family, psychological, social or emotional.
- Make suggestions regarding nutrition, ergonomics, hygiene and other personal skills not included in the basic curriculum.
- To make their knowledge available to the entire Educational Community, being able to guide and coordinate specific activities for children, families and school personnel.
This service is included in the monthly fee of the school, with the prior authorization of the families, and works during the school day.
On the other hand, the EDM offers a series of services not included in the monthly fee for those families who need them. These services are described and detailed below:
Psychopedagogical Service and preventive evaluation
The psychologist carries out an exhaustive observation of the students enrolled in the program, recording the follow-up and developmental milestones of each student in each area of work. Meeting with the entire IMSC team to offer advice on the student body, regular meetings with both group and individual parents, delivery of a descriptive report on the student at the end of the course, which describes their monitoring during the course month by month.
The speech therapist and pedagogue will carry out screening tests for the early detection of possible Learning Difficulties.
Speech Therapy Intervention
During the school day, those children who need it and who have difficulties related to their learning will be able to benefit from the speech therapy service offered by the centre. These sessions will take place at times agreed by the child with the agreement of the guide of their environment so as not to interrupt their daily activities.
IMSC will offer the possibility of speech therapy in its facilities during after-school hours.
